Induction and ongoing staff training

We deliver award winning training to all of our staff in line with the latest legislative guidelines. Sessions are all taught on site in our new training suite with the exception of Fire Awareness which is accessed through www.firewatchsouthwest.co.uk.

Dementia

Basic Life Support

Learn Basic Life Support (BLS) and safe use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

Diabetes, Fluids & Nutrition

Understanding the importance of good nutrition and hydration.

Conflict Resolution

A course providing the basis for working with individuals with challenging behaviour.

Specialist Care Procedures

Fire Awareness

A hands-on training course externally sourced through Firewatch South West.

I had a week long training induction, very thorough, and since then updates on physical intervention, breakaway, Asperger’s…the induction gives additional skills and is tailored to the people who live here.
